As part of the 41st UAE National Day celebrations, Sharjah City Municipality (SM) has organised a variety of events to mark the importance of the occasion. The celebrations were held at the headquarters of the Rent Regulations Department of the SM in the presence of HE Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation, Eng. Sultan Abdulla Al Mualla, director general of the SM, and a number of government officials.
In the beginning of the celebrations, Eng. Sultan al Mualla extended his cordial congratulations and sincere wishes to The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, supreme council member and ruler of Sharjah, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the emirates, on this precious occasion. 
"Sharjah Municipality is organizing a number of events to mark the 41 anniversary of the national day and the overall boom witnessed by the country, under the wise leadership that has led the United Arab Emirates to achieve its historic success," said Al Mualla.
 Khalid Al Shamsi the manager of the Rent Regulation Department said the festivities included an exhibition of antique and classic cars, and a heritage gallery displaying folk medicine, the bridegroom house, children corner and falcon show.
The ceremony programme included also a theatrical performance starred by a number of high-profile Emirati actors. The famous poet Saeed Bin Ghalaita took part in the ceremony and cited a number of his well-known poems which won the admiration of everyone attended. And the students of Rabea' Al Adawiya and Umm Khallad schools showed their unique talents in performing local folklores that are deep-rooted in the UAE culture.
