Special Seats Allocated for Seniors at Sharjah Parks

2/21/2019

Pursuant to the wise directives of HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the supreme council and ruler of Sharjah, to provide high quality of services to the elderly people and optimize their experience when they visit the public parks in Sharjah, the Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) has allocated 25 special seats for the senior visitors to the parks in the city of Sharjah.

This initiative supports the efforts made by the emirate of Sharjah to maintain its prestigious status and title as a member of the Global Network of Age-Sensitive Cities, said HE Thabit salim al Turaifi, DG of the SCM.

He pointed out that the initiative that was introduced by the SCM to allocate special seats for the elderly at the parks comes as part of the strategic plans of the Sharjah Age-Sensitive City Program that is supervised by the high committee assigned to follow up on the membership of Sharjah to the Global Network of Age-Sensitive Cities. The municipality is always keen to provide all services and facilities to the visitors of the parks, especially the elderly.
