Sharjah Municipality continues bachelor eviction campaigns in family areas

Sharjah City Municipality continued its campaign to evict bachelors from areas designated for families. The ongoing campaigns come in implementation of the directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

The SCM Director General Thabit Al-Turaifi accompanied by other civil officials and representatives of Sharjah Police, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority participated in today's inspection visits that targeted Al Jazat and Maysalon areas.

Al-Turaifi said that the municipality had organized more than 1915 inspection campaigns on violating accommodations. The inspection team caught several violations, such as unapproved engineering divisions and electrical connections, hygienic and safety issues, and inappropriate ventilation. Some residential units were converted into garages and stores.
