Sharjah Municipality Regulates City Centre Al Zahia Parking to Ensure a Smoother Visitor Experience Under New Cooperation Agreement

Sharjah City Municipality has begun regulating the use of parking spaces at City Centre Al Zahia following the signing of a cooperation agreement with the mall's management. The initiative reflects the municipality's commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships, enhancing regulatory coordination, and ensuring the implementation of relevant laws while curbing misuse of public facilities.

The agreement was signed at the municipality's main headquarters by H.E. Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah City Municipality, and Mr. Fuad Mansour Sharaf, Director General of Shopping Centres in the Emirates at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, in the presence of senior officials from both parties.

H.E. Al Tunaiji affirmed that the agreement supports the municipality's strategy to cooperate with the private sector in delivering high-quality public services. Under the agreement, the municipality will play a key role in overseeing the proper use of the mall's parking spaces, ensuring fair access for all visitors and preventing misuse.

A dedicated municipal team will be assigned to conduct regular inspections, handle reports and complaints from both the public and mall management, and take the necessary legal and administrative action in the event of violations. This falls in line with the municipality's broader role in managing parking regulations across Sharjah to ensure service quality and public satisfaction.

Mr. Fuad Mansour Sharaf noted that the agreement represents a strategic partnership that unifies efforts and enhances coordination to serve the public interest. It aims to provide mall visitors with a seamless shopping experience by ensuring organized access to parking under the supervision of the municipality. Measures will also be enforced against violations such as unauthorized use of spaces reserved for people of determination, occupying multiple spaces, illegal parking, or overnight vehicle stays.

He praised the municipality's regulatory role and its dedication to upholding laws and minimizing negative behaviors, noting that such collaboration introduces new services that benefit both individuals and the wider community, while enhancing the overall visitor experience at the mall
