Aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) has introduced an Excellence Award for its employees and organizational units. This award aims to foster a culture of excellence among its units and employees.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, the Director-General of the SCM, highlighted that this initiative aims to motivate employees towards greater efforts. It seeks to support the municipality's vision by providing top-notch services to the public and creating a positive work environment.
The award encompasses various categories for both organizational units and employees. The application and assessment process is based on predefined criteria and standards for participation, drawing upon the best practices applied both nationally and internationally.
The Director-General emphasized that the award aims to instill a culture of excellence, honour outstanding individuals, showcase noteworthy projects, and prepare the municipality for participation in local and global awards. Additionally, it supports innovation, fostering an environment focused on continuous improvement.
Prior to the award launch, the SCM prepared a comprehensive guide detailing participation conditions, the award's objectives, registration, evaluation procedures, and the eligible categories for both units and employees.
