Sharjah Municipality Launches Inspection and Awareness Campaign in Industrial Areas to Address Negative Behaviors

Sharjah City Municipality, in collaboration with strategic partners including the General Command of Sharjah Police, Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, the Department of Planning and Survey, and the Department of Economic Development, has launched an intensive campaign in the city's industrial areas. The campaign aims to monitor and address certain negative behaviors in accordance with regulations and laws, and to educate workers on the importance of following proper guidelines in the workplace. This campaign continues previous efforts to rectify the status of establishments that do not comply with certain safety and precautionary measures.
In this context, Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, Director of Customer Service at Sharjah City Municipality, stated that the campaign covers all industrial areas in the city. The field teams and inspection patrols from the municipality and strategic partners involved in this campaign are monitoring violations in the establishments within these areas, taking the necessary legal and administrative measures, and conducting intensive awareness campaigns to correct the conditions and ensure compliance with the regulations and laws governing the work process.
Al Suwaidi explained that the campaign focuses on ensuring that establishments in the industrial areas adhere to the necessary safety systems, minimizing violations and negligence of certain procedures, and preventing practices that hinder the work of emergency teams, such as in the event of a fire. The campaign also aims to reduce random storage within establishments and confiscate gas cylinders that do not meet the approved specifications and standards. He pointed out that efforts are ongoing to monitor and mitigate all negative behaviors.
Al Suwaidi further stated that the municipality, in collaboration with strategic partners from relevant government agencies and departments, is working to enhance the civilized and aesthetic appearance of the emirate and to reduce negative behaviors that affect the general appearance and the community members. These efforts aim to provide an exceptional environment that ensures a high quality of life, particularly given the high standards of services and facilities in the emirate, making it a significant destination for living, tourism, and investment.
