SCM discusses best food safety practices in 3rd Food Safety Forum

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) will hold the third Sharjah Food Safety Forum (SFSF) on the 26th of February in Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre.

The SFSF that will be held under the slogan: "Human Safety is our Wealth" will shed the light on the latest international practices and experiences in food science and safety.

Sheikh Shatha Al Mualla Assistant DG for Public Health and Central Labs at the SCM said in a press conference held at the SCM headquarters to announce the topics and other information about the SFSF that this year's event comes in sequence of the food safety forums that the SCM held previously to raise awareness about the latest food safety trends with active participation from experts and representatives of concerned local and international organizations, in addition to top officials from the local municipalities in the UAE, and food quality control managers and specialists of the food establishments operating in Sharjah and the UAE in general.

The SFSF will discuss a number of key issues relating to food safety, including solving the world's healthcare crisis with better diets, the food safety concept between prevailing norms and scientific truth, the adequate preventive and forensic measures in food laboratories for the health and safety of consumer, the quality assurance in Sharjah food laboratory, and the innovative systems adopted in Sharjah Food Safety Program.
