Sharjah Municipality supports youth entrepreneurs by inaugurating mobile food truck court

2/21/2019

Pursuant to the wise directives of HH sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the supreme council and ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) inaugurated yesterday a food court under the name "Restaurant Oasis" next to Sharjah National Park, where mobile food truck owners can run their businesses and provide their services the residents of the area as well as to the visitors of the park.

HE Thabit Salim Al Turaifi, Director General of the SCM and a number of the municipality officials and employees were present during the inauguration.

"The municipality was keen to implement the directives of HH the ruler of Sharjah to facilitate the issuance of permits to food truck businesses in Sharjah that is why it has opened the food court next to the Sharjah National Park, to be an addition to the food truck business courts in Al Seyouh and Al Mamzar areas, " said al Turaifi.

He stressed that the "Restaurant Oasis" project encourages young entrepreneurs to enter the labor market and boost production and investment in the emirate.

He pointed out that the Oasis is in a good location near Sharjah national park. The Food Control Inspector will pay regular visits to the area to ensure compliance with the health requirements and standards.

For his part, Eng. Hassan Al Taffaq assistant DG for Agriculture and Environment at the SCM said that Oasis has been designed to provide the best services, and it accommodates 10 mobile food trucks and provided with the necessary lighting, fire extinguishers and safety instructions, and a children's corner with a rubber floor to play and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in the area.
