Sharjah Municipality raises safety standards on beaches, provides 58 lifeguards

Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) affirmed its keenness on raising safety standards on Sharjah city’s beaches. The SCM has sought the service of a specialized lifeguard company to monitor the swimming activity and ensure safety of the community members.
Khalid bin Falah Al-Suwaidi, Assistant DG for Customer Service, said that Sharjah city’s beaches witnesses high turnout, especially during summer.
“We always keen to perform monitoring and raise awareness among beachgoers according to a preset annual plan,” he added.
The SCM has increased the number of lifeguards on the city’s beaches to 58 lifeguards. They were deployed on the beaches according to the needs and safety requirements of each beach.
