Sharjah Municipality plants 289 seedlings, stops use of 836 printers

In line with the visions and directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to encourage agriculture and spread green spaces, Sharjah City Municipality launched the first phase of its "For Sustainable Municipality" project by planting 287 seedlings out of 834 in Al Falah plant nursery.  The planted seedlings reflect the municipality's initiative to stop the use of 834 printers and scanners, as a step forward towards its transformation into a paperless municipality by the end of this year.

This initiative comes as a continuation of its efforts in preserving the environment, spreading green areas in all areas of the city of Sharjah. The Director General of Sharjah City Municipality Thabit Al Turaifi, Assistant Director Generals, and number of civil officials witnessed the launch of the first phase of project.
