1/18/2017

The hotline service of Sharjah City Municipality received during las year 75841 calls, out of which are 22500 complaints and requests, while 53718 were general enquiries, according to Ali Obaid Director of Corporate Communications Department.

He added the hotline service is available to the public round the clock including weekends and official holidays, taking into consideration the municipality keenness to shorten the time required for solving all customers' concerns and its desire to be on the forefront of all government service providers that use all capabilities in hand to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

"There are several municipality services requested via the hotline service are also available online, such as land filling and leveling, soil removal, dusty road construction and road maintenance, to name a few," he said.

"The Environment Service Department provides 15 services that can be availed online instead of requesting them via the hotline, such as sewage suction for residential buildings, household waste destruction, and green waste destruction."

He asserted that the hotline agent is not only tasked with answering phone calls, but also has many other tasks, like entering complaint details in the system, answering enquiries and providing information, as well as communicating with the competent department in the municipality or even in other government entity.  He also keep in touch with the complainant until making sure that the issue has been dealt with.

Obaid urged the public to call the hotline 993 for any suggestions, enquiries or complaints from inside the country, and call 065162569 from outside the UAE. For all Sharjah Government services or event information, the public are encouraged to call the Sharjah call center on 80080000
