Sharjah Municipality gets ISO certification

The four departments under the corporate support sector along with municipality director general office fulfilled all certification requirements for a quality management systems
Sharjah municipality (SM) announces that the four departments under its corporate support sector along with the director general office have got the ISO 9001:2015 certification after meeting the requirements for a quality management system.
The SM has celebrated this achievement in a ceremony at the theatre hall in its headquarters where the personnel of the director general office and the corporate support sector along with the quality team were honored. The SM Director General Thabit al Turaifi, top management and a large number of staff attended.
Addressing the attendees, al Turaifi praised the efforts of the quality team and all corporate support staff, saying that, "the obtaining of ISO 9001:2015 is considered an addition to the achievements of the municipality, and it comes within the framework of its strategy that aims to elevate the municipal work, implement the quality standards in service provision and adopt the modern administrative and scientific systems, ensuring that services provided to the public is of the highest quality and reaching the unprecedented levels of satisfaction among staff and customers alike." 
"This achievement is a step forward in the process of spreading the culture of quality management and corporate excellence that has been adopted by the municipality."
He added the ISO certification is a result of hard work and persistent efforts exerted by the personnel of the director general's office and corporate excellence sector at the municipality to fulfill the quality management requirements needed to get the certification. The municipality deserved an ISO for each department of the corporate support sector along with the DG office making 5 certificates in total after passing the auditing phase and ensuring the implementation of all comprehensive quality specifications and standards.
Abdulla Al Qaydi assistant DG at the SM said, "Sharjah municipality is always keen on rewarding distinguished employees to strengthen competitiveness among all employees and bolster their creativity, and hence enhancing the municipality services and contribute in continuing the developmental progress of the municipality"
"This will also reinforce their spirit of corporate loyalty, especially in the next stage that will witness the launch of a new strategy based on excellence, quality performance. The ISO certification, he pointed out, is an official recognition of the high quality of services provided by the DG office and the corporate excellence departments.
