Sharjah Municipality has launched an updated version of its system for hotel and cinema establishments, enhancing service delivery and digital transformation in the emirate. The municipality organized an awareness workshop targeting employees in these sectors to provide a comprehensive understanding of the new system. Initially launched in 2016 for hotel establishments, the system has now been expanded to include cinemas.
Atif Al Zarooni, Director of Support Services at Sharjah Municipality, emphasized that the municipality is committed to continuously updating and developing its services for the public and various establishments. This initiative aligns with Sharjah's digital transformation strategy, aiming to offer high-quality services that enhance the emirate's attractiveness as a destination for living, tourism, and investment. The updated system streamlines customer journeys and ensures fast and easy service delivery.
"The launch of the new system for hotel and cinema establishments crowns our efforts to improve services for these vital sectors," Al Zarooni stated. "By utilizing modern technologies, we aim to simplify and expedite transactions, providing an efficient and seamless experience for all users."
Hamad Al Hammadi, Director of Financial Affairs, highlighted that the system update was launched in collaboration with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and the Central Finance Department of Sharjah. This collaboration enhances the provision of joint services, reflecting a commitment to improving services for hotel and cinema establishments. The new system supports the crucial role these establishments play in boosting commercial and tourism development and driving economic growth in Sharjah.
To introduce the new system and its updates, the municipality organized an awareness workshop at its main building in Al Musalla. The workshop, conducted in cooperation with strategic partners, highlighted the advantages of the system, demonstrated the services offered, and provided detailed instructions on its usage. Additionally, the Central Finance Department provided a simplified explanation of the process for filling out the collection card.
