Sharjah City Municipal Council and Municipality inaugurate Al Nouf Park 2

10/25/2021

In line with the visions and directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah City Municipal Council and Sharjah City Municipality opened today Al Nouf Park 2 in Muwaileh area on an area of 76,000 m2. A move aims to spread the green area and provide the best services to the population of Sharjah, and enhance the emirate’s position as an attractive city for living.
The park was opened in the presence of Salem Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah City Municipal Council; Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah City Municipality; and a number of municipal officials and Muwaileh Suburb Council members.
The municipality has carried out agricultural works on an area of 68,000 square meters, and decorated that area with more than 3,000 seasonal flowers. It has used about 700 tons of organic fertilizer and planted more than 953 trees in the park.
These plants are irrigated automatically. They will boost the green areas in the emirate and enhance its cultural and aesthetic appearance.
