SCM opens Al Qarayen 2 Park over 70,085 sqm

In line with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah to expand green spaces and provide the best service facilities to the public, Sharjah City Municipality has opened Al Qarayen 2 park in coincidence with the launch of the Sharjah Festival for Culture and People.
Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs attended the opening ceremony.

The new park expands on a total area of 70,085 square meters, while the agricultured area is about 67,473 square meters, including grass and various types of seasonal flowers. The SCM planted around 9,250 flowers and 7,278 seedlings in the park.

The SCM equipped the park with a football field, kid's  play area, wooden benches, toilets, and 112 environmentally friendly lighting poles. It has also provided rides for children with disabilities.
