SCM cracks down on authorised posters

2/2/2023

Sharjah City Municipality (SCM), in cooperation with the Bee'ah Group, launched a campaign to remove the unauthorised advertising posters that distort the general appearance of the city.
The campaign started from Al Nahda area and will cover all areas of the city of Sharjah. The SCM and Bee'ah join hands to remove these posters from bridges, lighting poles, walls and tunnels.
“The ongoing campaign comes within the framework of the SCM continuous efforts to enhance the aesthetic and civilized appearance of the smiling Emirate and to curb negative behaviours and eyesores”, Obaid Al Tunaiji, Director General of the SCM, stressed.
He pointed out that the SCM will continue with its strategic partners to organize awareness and monitoring campaign to ensure the city is free from such authorised posters and stickers.
Al-Tunaiji added the campaign covers all areas of the city of Sharjah, where the SCM will be taking legal action against violators. He warned that that the unauthorised posters distort the general appearance and cause damage to public and private facilities and properties.
