Al-Khan-Beach-obtains-Blue-Flag-certification

Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) announced that Al Khan Beach obtained the Blue Flag certification. The flag was raised today morning on the beach after meeting all the required criteria set by the global Blue Flag Program.

The SCM has harnessed all its efforts to ensure marine water quality, environmental education and environmental management of the beach. It has also obtained the certification of International Federation for Environmental Standards for People with Disabilities.

This achievement was announced during a ceremony organized by the SCM at Al Khan Beach in Sharjah, in the presence of Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, Vice President of the World Federation for the Disabled, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trust Club for the Disabled, Dr. Eng. Khalifa bin Musabah Al Tunaiji, Head of the Municipalities Affairs, ​Agriculture and Livestock Department, and Obaid  Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of the SCM, Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority "Shurooq", Moaz Al Sawaf, the National Coordinator of the Blue Flag, and a group of officials from the SCM and other government departments.
