294k contracts attested last year in Sharjah city

1/25/2023

Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) stressed its keenness to implement the decision to extend the 50% discount on overdue lease contracts in the Emirate of Sharjah. The decision comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and announced by Sharjah Executive Council presided by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The SCM announced that 294 thousand lease contracts of all kinds have been attested last year. 94 thousand of these contracts benefited from the 50% discount on attestation fees.
The SCM said that the decision to extend the 50% discount until next February 1 applies only to rental contracts that ended before 1/1/2023. The discount does not apply to the contracts that expire as of the said date, or new contracts.
