Sharjah City Municipality and Alif Group Join Forces to Regulate Parking and Residences in Al Mamsha and Zero 6 mall

2/29/2024

Sharjah City Municipality has inked a memorandum of understanding with Alif Group, marking a milestone collaboration aimed at bolstering regulatory efforts. Under this agreement, both residential units and parking facilities within Al Mamsha development and Zero 6 mall will undergo stringent oversight by the municipality, with a focus on enforcing existing regulations and curbing any violations, whether by residents or visitors.
The signing ceremony, held at the main municipality headquarters in Al Musalla area, was graced by the presence of Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, the Director-General of the Municipality, and Issa Attaya, CEO of Alif Group, along with high-ranking officials from both entities.
Director-General Al Tunaiji emphasized the pivotal role of this partnership in upholding the emirate's visual appeal and aesthetic standards, particularly in flagship projects like Al Mamsha, which have garnered significant attention from investors, residents, and tourists alike. He underscored the municipality's commitment to fostering a collaborative environment between the public and private sectors to preserve the city's charm and address any disruptive behaviors, in alignment with its regulatory and community-awareness mandate.
Al Tunaiji outlined the key provisions of the agreement, highlighting the municipality's proactive measures to regulate residential units and parking spaces within Al Mamsha and Center 06. These initiatives include stepped-up monitoring, installation of directional signage, and strict enforcement of parking regulations, with the aim of enhancing public safety and convenience while minimizing any adverse impacts on the surrounding community.
He further emphasized that the municipality would conduct regular inspections to identify and address any violations, ensuring a harmonious living environment for all residents. Additionally, special attention will be given to issues such as noise disturbances, improper storage practices, and unauthorized commercial activities, with the goal of maintaining the overall aesthetic integrity of the area.
Alif CEO Issa Attaya hailed the agreement as a ground-breaking initiative that sets a precedent for collaboration between the public and private sectors. He lauded the joint efforts to uphold regulatory standards and create a conducive environment for residents and visitors alike, emphasizing the importance of such partnerships in advancing the emirate's urban development goals and enhancing its overall quality of life.
