2/15/2024

The Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) responded swiftly and efficiently to recent weather instability emergencies in Sharjah from February 11th to 12th, ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents amid substantial rainfall of 44 millimeters.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director-General of SCM and Chairperson of the High Committee for Rain Emergencies, highlighted SCM's proactive approach, which included deploying 300 tankers, 120 mobile pumps, 75 fixed pumping stations, and 160 pumps for the fixed stations. Additionally, 75 reserve pumps and 4 Al Sadd Mobile Stations were deployed, along with the provision of 49 rainwater collection ponds.
Over 300 team leaders, supervisors, section heads, and field supervisors, supported by 375 staff members, diligently executed their duties on the ground.
