5/31/2021

Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) hails building owners' cooperation with its campaign for the preventive maintenance of buildings, which has begun since the end of last April to monitor all eyesores related to building cleanliness and other similar violations.
Thabit Al Turaifi, DG of the SCM, said that the campaign began to achieve its goals due to the positive response of a large number of owners. Earlier, The SCM had detected violations in several areas of the city, so it formed a team from the municipal sectors and departments in cooperation with the Directorate of Public Works and Police Sharjah to conduct the campaign.
Eng. Khalifa bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Assistant DG for Engineering and Buildings revealed that the working team conducted about about 1594 buildings in Muwaileh commercial area. 453 of them were found in need of maintenance.
