6/6/2022

In implementation of the visions and directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to expand green areas and enhance the aesthetic appearance of the emirate, Sharjah City Municipality continues its agricultural projects in various areas of Sharjah.
“These projects are meant to enhance the global status of the emirate of Sharjah in promoting sustainability and quality of life,” said Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of the SCM
He pointed out that the municipality is working on phase 2 of the landscaping of Maliha road starting from Al Badie Bridge. The landscaping works will cover a length of 7.8 km and an area of 865,800 square meters.
The Director General of the SCM said that the SCM has provided all the project requirements and obtained the necessary permits in coordination with the relevant authorities, departments and entities. The work will begin in the area of Al Raqiba and the median strip of Maliha road. The leveling work and supply of agricultural sand has already been completed for the first and second phases of the project. The underground tanks and pumps have been installed to collect and pump treated irrigation water over a length of 5 km.
