New sewage Pumping Station with capacity to replace 80 Tankers launched in Sharjah

6/19/2019

The Agriculture and Environment Sector of Sharjah City Municipality launched a pumping sewage station in Sharjah Industrial Area 3. The new station aims to supply the municipality's labour camps with sewage network instead of the daily use of tankers which consume effort, time and cost.

Thabit Salim Al-Turaifi, DG of Sharjah Municipality, along with the municipality's top officials, and a number of its employees attended the project launching ceremony.

Al Turaifi confirmed that the project was accomplished by the SMAE Team which consists of a number of creative Emirati youth from the Agriculture and Environment Sector, reflecting the keenness of the Municipality employees to provide creative and innovative services.

He pointed out that the achievements of the Municipality continue to unfold, thanks to the distinguished and qualified staff of the municipality who adopt the concepts of creativity and innovation as a working methodology to provide innovative ideas that serve the various fields of the municipal work and activities.

For his part, Hassan Al Tafaq, Assistant General Director for Agriculture and Environment Sector, said that this project is part of a series of similar projects which the Municipality is aiming to shine through. It came to add quality to the drainage services provided at the municipality's labour accommodations.
