SM marks Earth Hour with activities in Sharjah parks

Sharjah City Municipality (SM) marked the Earth Hour yesterday with various activities in a number of the public park in Sharjah.
The municipality marked the earth hour with diversified activities including switching off lights at the municipality’s main building, Central Souq, Etihad Square, Clock Square, Al Nakheel Oasis and a number of public parks in the city,” said Hassan Al Taffaq, Assistant Director-General of Sharjah City Municipality.
The municipality takes part in such events as part of its role and keenness to shoulder its communal responsibility to protect the environment, he added.
The municipality also organized a number of events in a number of Sharjah parks to give residents the opportunity to mark the earth hour.
