SM work teams deployed across Sharjah to ensure rapid drainage of rainwater and smooth flow of traffic

The rain emergency committee that was formed by the Sharjah Municipality to deal with rain consequences confirmed that its work teams worked round the clock to draw water from the streets to avert traffic jams.
Riad Abdullah Eilan, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality, head of the Rain Emergency team, stressed that the municipality removed water from the main streets of the city, noting that the municipality had taken all necessary measures to deal with rain.
Eilan called on the public to report emergency cases on the hotline 993 or via smart municipal services and electronic applications on smartphone.
